SCREENPLAYS
Writing is how I process life — one scene at a time.
What can I say? It all just makes more sense on paper.

I’ve written for Videoland, Belgian TV, Netflix and
for the stage.
This page features a selection of my screenplays.
Feel free to explore — read a scene, dive into a

CONTORTION
(feature film)
A skeptical horror author exploits the dark past of his new home to outshine his bestselling brother — but this past comes with a vengeance.

Blue cat screenplay competition wrote:
This is a chilling thriller in the vein of The Conjuring and The Haunting of Hill House - but the vivid and ductile descriptions and sharp dialogue distinguish Contortion as a unique brand of haunted house horror.
We’ve seen children haunt houses before, but never quite like this - and never quite so many. Your script subverts expectations and is an entirely fresh take on the genre.

LUPA
(feature film)
A dysfunctional family is invited to a secluded Italian village for the funeral of their estranged patriarch, only to uncover a lineage bound to a truth older than humanity—one that threatens to consume them unless they confront their past and each other.

Blue cat screenplay competition wrote:
This is a distinctive horror tale with strong symbolic elements and an opening sequence that functions as an effective hook. A slow-build of an escalating sense of unease is employed: Imagery of motherhood, birth, babies, blood and wolves run through the script.
HEIMATCLOWN
(short film)
A broken clown is recruited by the Nazis to root out children deemed unworthy of the Reich, but as his madness deepens, he spirals beyond even their ideology—becoming a monstrous force the regime can no longer control.

The clown serves as a grotesque parody of ideological purity that exposes the
internal absurdity and inevitable
self-destruction of Nazism.

SCHAAPSKLEREN
